Named expression results are saved and re-used if an expression is used multiple times in a symbology set. Named expressions are listed in the “Criteria” tree node under “All Users” or “Workset(yourWorkset)”. This capability avoids multiple evaluations of the same expression. For example, in the table above, the named expressions 27 kV and 22 kV would only need to be evaluated once when evaluating Color expressions. When evaluating the Level expressions, the saved expression result for 27 kV and 22 kV expressions would be used instead of re-evaluating these expressions. The list of saved expression results is valid within a single feature’s get symbology request since the results only pertain to the state of the current feature instance.
